Fine Art, Food and Spirits to Highlight 7th Annual Arts in the Square April 2-3

Frisco Square will be transformed into a fine art gallery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 during the Seventh Annual Arts in the Square extravaganza in Frisco.  Always a very popular event, Arts in the Square highlights local artists work in an outdoor venue offering a perfect way to kick-off Spring.


Arts in the Square 2016 will embrace visual and performing arts, as well as Texas-style fun, children’s activities, and local entertainment. Parking and admission to the event are free. For more information on the event, you can  call (972) 689-6317.

Frisco Square, located at 8874 Coleman Blvd. near downtown Frisco, hosts this memorable event in collaboration with the Frisco Independent School District, and all proceeds will be given to the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services.


Visitors can enjoy unique  art and alsosit and relax by Simpson Plaza while listening to local musicians, or watch ongoing performing arts demonstrations and interactive art activities.  Of course, there will be  food and spirits available for sampling from the many different award-winning restaurants at Frisco Square.

This year, Arts in the Square will feature more than 120 of the best local and regional artists who will also sell their handmade creations. Artists will compete in categories that include Fine Arts/Graphics, Pottery, Textiles, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Photography and Wood. A panel of judges will select winners based on technique and execution, quality, uniqueness of work, and booth appearance.


Prizes include $500 cash awards to Best in Show and Jurors’ Choice winners, as well as $50 cash awards to the top 10 student artists, hotel discounts, free parking and hospitality.
